The first organised motor sport event was held in Paris in 1887, but only one person turned up so it was abandoned! However In 1894 the organisers finally assembled a field of 20 motor cars. In 1906 the French held the very first Grand Prix for manufacturers near Le Mans, and in 1929 a Bugatti won the first Monaco Grand Prix. In 1930 Alfa Romeo decided to enlist a new company to direct its racing efforts - Scuderia Ferrari run by Enzo Ferrari.

As we enter the 21st Century Grand Prix Motor Racing is the biggest annual sport series on earth, with a TV audience of 7 billion across 121 countries. For three days the glamour and spectacle of Formula 1 Motor Racing comes to Silverstone in England. The practice session is on Friday, followed by qualifying on Saturday. The electrifying, high-octane British Grand Prix takes place on Sunday. Over the British Grand Prix weekend there are top international support races and a dazzling air display on Sunday add to the thrills.
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is a superb event for corporate entertainment.
